At Surrey County Council we want to support people to use more sustainable travel options to help us reach our target of being net zero by 2050.

<h1>Hooley Lane and Earlsbrook Road</h1><p id="isPasted">We are proposing to improve the existing pedestrian and cycle infrastructure along Hooley Lane junction with Brook Road and Earlsbrook Road to make it safer and easier for people to use.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Description of Works</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Resurfacing of existing footway and cycleway facility.</li><li>Upgrading cycle route signage</li><li>Narrowing of the carriageway provide improved segregated cycle &nbsp;and pedestrian facility.</li><li>Extension of 20mphzone to west side of the railway bridge</li><li>Creation of pedestrian and cyclist shared use facilities</li><li>Installation of &#39;SLOW&#39; markings on each approach to the tight bend by railway bridge&nbsp;</li><li>Creation of NO ENTRY to motor vehicles heading slow along Earlsbrook Road from Hooley Lane except for cycling.</li><li>Creation of raised road table with uncontrolled pedestrian and cyclist crossing facility</li><li>Creation of improved crossing facilities along this section at a number of junctions.</li></ul><p><br></p>
